Springbrook Jog-A-Thon Friday, February 23, 2024

 

Jog-a-thon is almost here! We are so excited, and we can't wait for all the fun to begin.

 

What is Jog-A-Thon?

Jog-a-thon is your Springbrook PTA's school fundraiser for the 2023-2024 school year and all money fundraised goes back to our students at Springbrook. It’s a super fun-filled day at Springbrook that students and staff look forward to every year. This year’s theme is “Better Together”.

 

What happens at Jog-A-Thon?

On the day of Jog-A-Thon, music will set the mood to get everyone excited and ready to go.  After an invigorating warm-up, students, teachers, and staff will jog, walk, or dance laps around a track for 15 minutes. Parents are welcome to cheer students on and take part in a day of celebration for our Springbrook Seals. When the run is over the students will cool down and enjoy some well-deserved Otter Pops.

 

Jog-A-Thon Playlist Song Submission

This year we would like our awesome Seals to help create the playlist for jog-a-thon. We know our Seals have great taste in music and we can't wait to see the awesome playlist they create. How to get donations?

Students can ask family, friends, and neighbors to make flat donations. Since Springbrook is a non-profit, most companies offer a matching donation program. We highly encourage parents/family/guardians/friends to check and see if their companies offer a match. The company match is essentially free money to you and can double your donation for your student to earn prizes, and help our school hit our fundraising goal. If you have questions regarding the company match, please reach out to Ayra Milton (ayramilton@gmail.com). 

 

For jog-a-thon this year, we are again using Pledgestar as our fundraising system that makes it much easier for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. It's fun, it's easy, and people who use it typically raise twice as much as those who don't!

 

Remember, our Jog-a-thon is February 23, so please register now to help our school raise as much as we can for Teacher Grants, Innovation Lab, Instructional Supplies, Student Activities, Assemblies, field trip buses, and other needs for our school that develop.

 

We are LIVE on Pledgestar! The donation envelopes will be sent home and can be utilized to keep track of donations collected.

What is our fundraising goal and what is the money used for?

This year's Jog-A-Thon fundraising goal is $30k. The money fundraised goes towards the teacher grants, Innovation Lab, Instructional Supplies, Student Activities, Assemblies, field trip buses, and other needs for our school that develop.  

           

Incredible Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to students who reach specific donation levels. This year we have BONUS prizes. Bonus prizes are awarded based on Pledgestar request sent and class participation. There are so many great prizes this year and when we hit our school goal of $30K we will have Inflatables for a day of play for all our students at Springbrook!

 

Volunteers Needed

We need your help! If you would like to volunteer by marking laps on the day of Jog-a-thon (February 23, 2024), check in times are 9:00AM and 10:35AM dependent on jog-a-thon class schedule, please sign-up here.
